Tinea Tips

Tinea shows as a skin rash. It is round in shape and red. Typically will have healthy-looking skin in the middle. The edges of the eruption are usually colored red, raised and skin can be crust. Tinea name comes from the
shape of "ring" of the eruption of itself. Athlete's foot and Jock itch are also forms of ringworm. Jock itch is a rash that is seen in the folds of the skin of the groin. It can be seen as a red rash itching. Athlete's foot appears as dry, scaly, thick skin on the bottom of the feet or between the toes. Ringworm of the hand will be similar to athlete's foot. The skin between the toes can be wet and they are thus open sores.
