Good Ringworm Information

Treatment for tinea is quite easy. Some people prefer to start with an over the counter anti-fungal medication to start treating an outbreak of ringworm.  With some types of ringworm this is very effective. But, since there are
several different ways, ranging in severity, sometimes the only solution is to get a prescription from your doctor. You should refrain from scratching the rash. Although it is a very itchy infection, scratching will spread the infection to other parts of your body.  It is very important to wash any fabric that has had any direct contact with by ringworm infection in hot water and bleach.  If you use public showers, wear flip flops in the shower and avoid touching the walls as much as possible.  Do not allow contact with your Tinea and other people and pets.  You must keep its eruptions covered as much as possible. Though fungus thrives in a hot, humid place, you have more than one opportunity to spread the infection through contact.
